Everyone has misplaced something at some point and struggled to find it again. Whether it’s a valuable device like a laptop or a useful item like a stroller, losing your things is never a fun experience. Although there are a number of different tracking devices on the market today, they have their limits. That’s because they typically rely on some form of Bluetooth technology.
A new device from a French startup called Invoxia changes that. Dubbed the Cellular GPS Tracker, it utilizes 4G LTE networks to accurately track items from anywhere. Thanks to its high-tech design, the tracker can be used to help you keep track of any item (or loved one) no matter how far away it gets.
As noted, devices like Tile trackers are limited since they rely on Bluetooth. If the device goes too far out of range, you won’t be able to track it until it is back within a few hundred feet of either your phone or the phone of someone that also uses the Tile app.
That limitation doesn’t apply to Invoxia’s Cellular GPS Tracker. It is one of the first trackers on the market to be compatible with the latest LTE-M update of 4G cellular networks. Although most of the world is focused on 5G, there are still plenty of uses for 4G.
The Cellular GPS Tracker, as the name suggests, also features GPS capabilities. This allows you to visualize the exact location of the item you are tracking at any time from the device’s companion app, which is available for both iOS and Android, regardless of whether it is nearby or not.
The app also has a history feature that lets you see the route of the tracker over a certain time period. This is perfect if your device is stolen as it can help authorities track it down.
Speaking of theft, the Invoxia Cellular GPS Tracker also features automated anti-theft alerts. When the tracker detects suspicious activity, it sends you an alert so you can check on your item. The tracker is equipped with geofencing alerts as well, meaning you can ask it to send you a notification if it leaves a pre-designated area.
If you’re using the device to help keep track of a loved one, it also features a panic button. This triggers an emergency alert with a single press to let you know that they’re in danger.
At just 30 grams and 4.1 x 1.1 inches in size, the Cellular GPS Tracker is discreet enough to go anywhere. It features a built-in battery that lasts up to seven weeks on a single charge. Although you will need to periodically recharge the tracker, it won’t die and stop working after a year like a Tile device.
Each tracker retails for $159 on Amazon and comes with a two-year data plan to keep it operational on 4G networks across the U.S.
If you need a smarter way to keep track of your things, look no further than the Cellular GPS Tracker from Invoxia.
